MANILA - Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Alexei Nograles recently met with global senior government officials at the Global Government Summit (GGS) which was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore from Feb. 1 and 2.
According to a CSC press release, Nograles was able to hold a bilateral meeting with Singapore's Head of Civil Service Leo Yip Wednesday, where they discussed the functions and mandates of their respective agencies.
Nograles and Yip also discussed other possible opportunities for collaboration between Singapore and the Philippines, especially in the areas of digitization and digitalization, the CSC said.
The GGS, which was hosted by the Singapore government and organized by the Global Government Forum, explored the challenges now facing civil service around the globe.
The GGS provides a confidential and informal space for participants to freely discuss views, experiences, successes and failures, as well as explore potential solutions, about the challenges faced by civil service.
First held in London in 2011, the Global Government Summit brings together top leaders from the center of government: those responsible for leading their national civil services and overseeing strategic development, organizational reform, workforce capabilities and culture change. (PNA)
